I am a scientist with degrees in both Chemistry and Mathematics and a Ph.D, in Molecular Biology. I did my doctorate at Sussex University and then did research at Stony Brook University in New York before returning to the UK. I live in Newhaven.
I have three children now in their early twenties. My hobbies include squash and sailing.
I have been tutoring maths and chemistry for over 10 years.
My research is in computational neuroscience and I have lectured at Stony Brook University in New York.
In addition to tutoring other children, I have tutored my three children in Maths and Chemistry (they did A levels) and am very familiar with the GCSE and A level curriculum.
My approach to tutoring is individually based and assesses what each student needs in addition to what the student feels they require extra help in. My goal is to make sure the student has a full grasp of the concepts involved and then make full use of past papers and the marking schemes to maximise exam success.
