My aim as a tutor is to help my students develop a more deepened understanding of mathematics and how to problem solve. Through this, they will gain a sense of mathematical proficiency and have the right mind set and tools to answer exam questions and tackle increasingly complex problems. Outside of teaching, I enjoy going on long walks and travelling abroad with my family. I also enjoy watching films and listening to music from the Middle East.
I have been teaching in the education sector for just under 10 years and I have taught from primary all the way to A-Level Maths. I am the currently pupil premium coordinator at my high-school so I know what it takes to achieve exam success as I specialise in GCSE teaching and bridging the gap between A to A*. I have also delivered inset days, developed maths policies, mentored trainee teachers and attended the Outstanding teacher course. I have been rated as Outstanding and Good by Ofsted and my classes have consistently achieved fantastic GCSE grades.
Over the last 14 years, I have gained in-depth knowledge of how to accommodate different learning styles and incorporate effective methods to meet the needs of my tutees.
